Al-ḥamdu lillāhil-ladhī aḥyā-nā baʿda mā amātanā wa ilayhin-nushūr
“All praise is for Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.”
Recommended use: Upon waking up, to begin the day with gratitude.
2. Dua Before Sleeping
بِٱسْمِكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا
Bismikallāhumma amūtu wa aḥyā
“In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live.”

3. Dua Before Eating
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ

ٱللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ ٱلْخُبُثِ وَٱلْخَبَائِثِ
Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika minal-khubuthi wal-khabā’ith
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from male and female devils.”

ٱللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَضِلَّ أَوْ أُضَلَّ، أَوْ أَزِلَّ أَوْ أُزَلَّ، أَوْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ، أَوْ أَجْهَلَ أَوْ يُجْهَلَ عَلَىَّ

“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from going astray or being led astray, from slipping or being made to slip, from oppressing or being oppressed, and from acting ignorantly or having ignorance done to me.”

رَّبِّ زِدْنِى عِلْمًا
Rabbi zidnī ʿilmā
“My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”

رَّبِّ ٱرْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِى صَغِيرًا
Rabbir-ḥamhumā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīrā

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيْهِ رَٰجِعُونَ

ٱللَّهُمَّ ٱفْتَحْ لِى أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
Allāhumma iftaḥ lī abwāba raḥmatik

ٱللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

“Glory be to the One who subjected this to us, and we could not have done it ourselves.”
